2002 - The combined York Rite Bodies of Cape Cod and the Masonic Angel
Foundation's Charity Auction
On Wednesday, December 18, 2002 the combined York Rite Bodies of Cape Cod and the Masonic Angel Foundation held their fifth annual charity dinner and auction at the Hearth ‘n Kettle Restaurant in Orleans, MA.
Items included restaurant and store gift certificates, a sport fishing trip, five pounds of fresh-frozen cod and flounder, gift items, collectible Beanie Babies and a number of books and gift baskets generously provided by Annie’s Book Stop in Orleans.
Hearth ‘n Kettle provided their usual elegant service and charitable consideration. The very first corporate sponsor to support the Masonic Angel Fund back in 1998, H&K has consistently backed our programs with financial and in-kind contributions. Special commendations go to Mr. Frank Catania of the Dan’l Webster/Hearth ‘n Kettle management group. We also commend Elaine from Annie’s Book Stop for her many contributions above-and-beyond the call for this event. Bob Littlefield, High Priest of Sylvester Baxter Royal Arch Chapter, solicited dozens of items and organized the logistics for the auction itself.
Auction proceeds of about $1,800 are allocated for matching grants among the seven Masonic Angel Funds in the Lower Cape Cod area. Since 1997 the York Rite has raised over $20,000 for local Blue Lodge charity programs.
The York Rite Bodies of Cape Cod include Sylvester Baxter Royal Arch Chapter, Orient Royal Arch Chapter, Cape Cod Council Royal and Select Master Masons and Cape Cod Commandery #54.
Happy holidays to all. God bless us, every one
