July 26th, 2004 - Special Broadcast - Angels in the Sunset Cruise
Dear friend of the Masonic Angel Fund,
Today we received the following information from King Hiram's Lodge in Provincetown regarding their "Angels in the Sunset" fundraising cruise. This content is taken from the "Message from the Master-Elect" (Mark Finley) in King Hiram's upcoming notice.
"Well, it's "full steam ahead" with our summer tourism season in full swing. This fall will bring lots of opportunity for our lodge to continue and strengthen our important role in the community. Our Masonic Angel Fund event "Angels in the Sunset" will be held on Friday evening Sept. 10th. We're planning a sunset cruise event like never before in Provincetown. An armada of three vessels has been volunteered for our fund raising cruise. The Viking Princess, Portuguese Princess and Dolphin VI are at our disposal for the evening. Brother Matt Monroe has secured donations of beverages and catering, and the press releases and flyers should be out by the time you read this. Tickets will be $20 for the sunset cruise including refreshments. A $50 donation will get you an "Admirals Class" deluxe upgrade pass. Tickets are available through the Viking Princess ticket booth or by phone at 508-487-7323. Thanks to the generosity of my colleagues in the excursion business we have over 400 seats available for this event. I hope you will join us in promoting this event and the sponsors. If we make this a big success it may become an annual event as our "Outgoing Master's" cruise has. Buy your tickets early, pick up extras for your friends and to sell to others. Remember, every dollar raised from the tickets goes to the Masonic Angel Fund for helping children in our communities."
We commend the Masonic Angels at King Hiram's Lodge for coming up with yet another creative, high-profile fund raiser for their Masonic Angel Fund. Each year KHL has distinguished itself by its excellent Masonic Awareness and community service programs. The Lodge is truly fortunate to have a group of members who are well-connected in the community and know how to leverage the seasonal tourist trade to help support their Masonic Angel Fund.
This is the kind of work that truly exemplifies "Freemasonry at its Best"!
Regards to all,
