News Release - October 21st 2000 - Orleans, MA
We are pleased to announce two new licenses for the Masonic Angel Fund
#6 St. Martin's Lodge AF & AM, Chatham, Massachusetts 10/16/2000.
Wor. Russell Carter reports that St. Martin's Lodge will open its MAF account with approximately $600 in funds collected and/or pledged.
#7 Nauset Light Lodge AF & AM, Orleans, Massachusetts 10/21/2000.
Your Foundation's managing director was present at this meeting and watched the Lodge accumulate $285 on the spot. Nauset Light will offer their annual Christmas party as a fund raiser for their MAF. Interestingly, Universal Lodge already covers the public schools in Orleans, Brewster, Eastham. Nauset Light Lodge's MAF will be devoted exclusively to the two private schools in Brewster and the pre-schools in the Nauset region.

The Foundation wishes to encourage the joint sponsorship of Masonic Angel Funds by Lodges that wish to "partner" in this way.  On October 10th we saw our first "joint venture" MAF when Winslow Lewis Lodge AF & AM of Boston partnered the Adams Lodge AF & AM of Wellfleet.  If you would like to explore a joint sponsorship program, please feel free to contact Foundation administration.

October 28, 2000 - Massachusetts York Rite weekend in Orleans, MA.  The purpose of this gathering is to showcase the Masonic Angel Fund as an ideal York Rite Awareness project and to train Lodges and York Rite bodies in the creation and operation of a Masonic Angel Fund.  Grants will be presented following an evening banquet.  Participants will join in the 10th Capitular District's Affirmation Day church service the following morning. Please email for more information about the York Rite Weekend.
